This Easter 2020 is like no other. The corona pandemic is reaching so deeply into our lives – previously unimaginable!
For us Christians, Easter is the feast of resurrection. For Easter a personal sign of hope for all near and far:
We pray it in the evening, when at 7:30 pm in Germany the bells ring and we light a candle, put it in the window and today we especially think on Dietrich Bonhoeffer who was killed by the Nazis in the concentration camp Flossenbürg 75 years back. His resistance against the Nazi Regime and his theology had an great impact to the ecumenical movement. We send the prayer out into the world: We may be separated spatially, but we are spiritually united.

Am heutigen Internationalen Frauentag wurde das Projekt Friedensstatue in Frankfurt der Öffentlichkeit vorgestellt. Die Statue steht für das Leiden von Menschen weltweit, die sexualisierter Gewalt in Kriegen ausgesetzt waren und sind. Sie mahnt die Rechte von Frauen in Kriegssituationen an.

The statue stands for the suffering of people around the world who have been and still are exposed to sexualised violence in wars.
