Karfreitag – Good Friday

Splinters of thoughts that keep me busy from the morning service …

It is not God who needs sacrifices, but we are making people and the creation victims again and again!

„Mein Gott, mein Gott, warum hast du mich verlassen?

„My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? why art thou so far from helping me, and from the words of my roaring? My God, I cry in the daytime, but thou hearest not; and in the night season, and am not silent.“ (Psalm 22,1-2)

Durch das Kreuz ins Leben gehen …

Going into life through the cross …

A contemporary artist created this cross in the Protestant parish in Frankfurt Höchst. The golden ribbon on the sides of the cross is broken again and again by red color as a reminder of the crucifixion of Jesus – royal rule and deep suffering flow into each other.
