On our last day of the consultation, we finalized the joint statement and celebrated holy communion together with the members of the church board of EKHN.

“That they all may be one!” This phrase from the Gospel of John (17:21) is still the leading hope in our international fellowship! While celebrating Holy Communion together we agreed on the diversity of the worldwide Christian Fellowship and that we are convinced that we as individual churches only ever perceive a small part of the mosaic of what is God’s will in this world. Only in a future unity of the Christian community, God’s will become fully apparent.
The representatives of our International Partner Churches where honored through the presence of the Church Board of EKHN. They shifted their regular meeting from Darmstadt to Arnoldshain for celebrating this closing service of the consultation together!
“Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.” (Ephesians 4:3-6)
