Vuelta Abajo – the heart of tobacco

Today I could visit the tabacco plantation of the famous brand Vegas Robaina and some other tobacco farmers. I learnt a lot of crowing and harvesting tabacco, producing cigars and the role of it in the Cuban society. Sometimes the heavy rains and the bad roads made driving the car difficult and challenging. Tomorrow I will drive to Cienfuegos and go on the boot of my friend for the sailing trip.

On my way to Havanna

Snowstorm outside the airport of Toronto. After a wonderful evening with my old friend Andreas D’Souza and his wife Karen and a tasty Indian Meal I’m now waiting for the flight to Havanna. I know Andreas from his time as Director of the Henry Martyn Institute in Hyderabad and we had several programs with EKHN pastors in this institute.
